Proform Balancer Tool

Does anybody have the proform 66514 dampner puller/installer? I have a 50 off 100 coupon from picking up the parts for my brake job from advance auto that I need to burn by the end of the month. Since my old school balancer tool has been MIA for about 5 years now I thought maybe I'd upgrade to something nicer.

For the guys with this type of tool, does the thrust bearing make that much of a difference or is it a marketing gimmick?
