I like your garage and car!

Congrats on re-claiming your space!

I did laugh a little seeing the small burnout patches on the floor :)

Letting your car come to a normal (warm) idle before dumping the clutch when starting cold might help ........

Regards,

,

Thanks for the advice and you are correct. Just so happens that those (the long set) marks were purposely short for the simple reason that the 400hp that laid them would have left them all the way down the driveway had she been given the chance. Did that in 2005 and thought it looked cool so I started laying each cars 'mark' for fun. Kinda like a guest book! There's a bunch of em. :3gears::3gears::3gears:

Yes I crafted it myself. Used a left over piece of PVC baseboard trim and four spark plugs. It just came to me in a vision. LOL!

Looking great, i think someone else also did their walls the same with dark red with the metal lower, nicely executed. Always a huge benefit when your fun car is so small and takes up a marginal foot print :)

Hi Tedman5, how did you get the fan to work with the electrical conduit? I assume you have a surface mounted box of some kind on the ceiling then the ceiling fan is mounted on the box.

Greetings! Sorry for the delay in responding to this. As a psych nurse I have been incredibly busy at work and believe it or not there is a 'busy season' and this is it. :shocking:

Anyhow, I have finished up all the intial stuff I wanted to do, minus decorations which can occur over years. The result came out as envisioned and find myself out here often just sitting (drinking beer) and staring at my handy work. LOL.

There has been several questions posted so I'll do my best to respond. First off, the electrical extension/expansion was fairly simple. I used my existing wall boxes as junction boxes and went out from there which ever direction I needed to go. With a 20 amp service GFCI protected i was not at all concerned with overloading.
As for the fan question, I used an old construction fan box and screwed it directly into the floor joists in the ceiling with four heavy wood screws. Its very solid. Power was run from the existing ceiling outlet in the same manner as my wall receptacles. Since the fan is remote control I didn't need to be concerned with a switch wire thank God. That would have created new challenges and why I planned it this way.

My finishing touches were putting in my extended network router, sound system with Bose 301s and a subwoofer. I'm a bit of an audiophile! Then the 40" Smart tv on an articulating arm (which isn't so smart I found) so I basically attached it to my laptop via HDMI so I can put up diagrams and such on a large screen.
So thanks for all the encouragement and following my progress. I can finally say I have a space that is mine and the freedom to move around without a cluster f**k!

And a special thanks to Jim Horstick who helped me out every step of the way even when he was just "supervising".

Time to play with cars!! :3gears:

When I first saw that I thought it was my garage before I dragged in all of my stuff.

Nice choice on the colors :thumbup:

Wow Kevin! They are twins! Great minds think alike. ;)
That's a very nice shop you have.
No Festivus pole, but Seinfeld rules! The Serenity room tag comes from a room on the psych unit I work on. It's a place to go clear one's mind.
