Project Begins

Finished up all the insulation I could do absent the mounting of the fixture boxes. Had to get some 2x4s to frame out around the garage door so that the drywall had something to grab onto.

Also cut down some small strips to space out the overhead lights since I’m not gonna put drywall on the ceiling.

Siding crew started today. End pieces are in as is the soffit and the door.

Siding was finished this afternoon. Have a little bit left to do with electrical and insulation and then I’ll go out and get all the drywall and such.

As far as the rest of the contracted work, all that remains is the last bit of concrete, cleaning, and inspection.

Drywall went up without much issue. Not perfect but perfect for a garage. Painted just about everything with some Kilz to even out the color. Got all the faceplates on as well.

Final electrical inspection is tomorrow.
