Thanks a lot everyone. Finally got the TV's out of their boxes. Surround system downstairs sounds awesome.

I am completely in awe! This is absolutely amazing... If you ever need someone to watch the place while you are away I would be honored to fly out! hahaha.... Great build man! I cant wait to see it with some cars in it. You have one of the nicest places I have ever seen, and thank you for taking us along with you for your build process!

Thanks very much guys!

Finally got the place cleaned up yesterday, just in time for our friend Alex Bellus to swing by to take some pictures. Still have more furniture/railings/lifts/cars to put in it, but his photography makes even a bare place look awesome!

(Folks - if you ever need a great photographer, hit Alex up - bellus.alex @ gmail)

Here's the link to the full sized pics - GJournal size below:

Still Very Very Amazing, but I'm still concerned for the cleanliness of the Loft if you do any significant work in the shop area. but I suspect it will mostly be used for general maintenance. I love the place,m and am envious.

Thanks.. The only thing I won't do in the shop is body work/paint or any woodworking. We've got 6 fans pushing air down and a huge door to evacuate any motor odors.

First and foremost it's a shop, then a place to hang out. The car work will take precedence.

My first project - Factory Five MK4 roadster - will be here in about 3 weeks.. Should be fun...

I see loads about ventilation and the full size screen door. I may have missed this in the 15 pages, but is there A/C ? I would hate to get out there on a Hot july evening and think, damn, for 250k I shoulda put A/C in this piece....

We're not sure how warm it will get inside. When we were touring the place in August, it was pretty cool due to the giant slab of concrete.

It's roughed in for A/C - electrical and the refrigerant lines. If the fans don't keep it cool enough, we'll pay for the ductless A/C head and compressor.

Here are the refrigerant lines going up to the mezzanine level (between the door and the window in the kitchen:

An absolutely amazing build ... you should be very proud.

By the way ... I love your floor. I was thinking of doing mine in epoxy this spring but I think I just changed my mind!

Thanks everyone.

Do you know if he does auto pictures? I am looking for someone to take some professional pictures of my car.

Absolutely.

Alex is the primary photographer for the Minneapolis Cars & Cafe (coffee) events and shot some amazing stuff for AutoMotorplex's first calendar.

Great all around photog, but he just loves cars.. His work shows it. Highly recommended.

Thanks for the photographer tip. I'll definitely contact him closer to spring. I'll have to try to get down to one of the events this year and hopefully see your place in person. Looks absolutely great!

Great job! I have been following this since you started the thread.

A few quick guestions:

What size copper pipe did you use for the airline?
What kind of lifts are you getting?
Is that a midrise lift that I see in the back ground

Thanks
Frank

Those pics by Alex Bellus are some of the greatest shots I have seen on any forum.

He is a super photgrapher, a real pro.

Your build was top pro, too. Great job.

Thanks Frank.

Copper pipe is 1/2" from the closet across to the far wall where I'm going to mount the pull down hose.

I've ordered a black Bend Pak HD-9XW (higher lift version of the HD-9 I have now) and will probably order a 2 Post Bend Pak.

Good eye - I've had that scissor for a few years - great versatile lift. It's a Bend Pak MD-6XP. The scissor lift will host the FFR chassis instead of using jackstands.

I'm a big fan of Bend Pak lifts

Here are a couple of pics of the HD-9 and mid-rise in use at home:
