Finished is not a word I use a lot. My recycle bench is still in progress but functioning as a workbench.

Lower shelves on the sides are coming and it will evolve as I discover things about it that I like or dislike. Notice the cool cutout for my knees and the leftover waterbed paint scheme.
I made this one tall and deep so I can have toolboxes at the back or maybe pegboard or something.

My Thursday update will have some other workbench updates!

I have that same drill press and have been looking for a manual for it for years. You wouldn't happen to have one, would you?[/QUOTE]

Sorry but I do not have a manual for the drill press either. Let me know if you ever find one and I will do the same for you. Cheers!

Good morning. Thank you for the encouragement on my thread. I have been following yours too and pulled a couple of your ideas. I like the drawers you installed on the bench. They remind me though why I started my whole garage reorganizing.
I don't have a picture of the old bench I had but I did something similar with a couple of cool secretary drawers that were meant to be added to desks.BackBreakingStraw.jpg As you can see in the picture. at the front they were a thin drawer where I would keep pens, rulers and knives, then at the back where the hanging files would go I would keep my safety stuff like goggles, masks, etc.
From the front these drawers looked cool like yours, the problem with mine is that I would forget the backside that whenever I would put anything in front and under it, I would slide open the drawer and the back side would sweep anything in front of it onto the floor. The last living days of these drawers was the day I put a can of paint and a coffee tin full of mixed nuts and bolts in front. I'm sure you know what happened next.
After the cleanup I kicked these cabinets off making sure to damage them so I would never think of using them again.
Have a great day
Gio

Great story Gio! So far, I have enjoyed having the pull out drawers to organize all of my wrenches....I have a bunch! Looks much nicer stowed away rather than hanging on the wall...nice clean look. I will continue to watch your thread! By the way....I am restoring a 1988 Chevy S10...just got through with lowering the suspension and getting ready to tackle the interior. I see you have a blazer stowed away in your garage! Nice!

I am back to work on the garage for the upcoming summer. Over the last 6 months I have sold a lot of junk (useable stuff) out of my garage...

Over the next 4 weeks I will be installing my 12,000 Btu air conditioner, one window and some new electrical outlets in my garage. More soon!!!!
