I am about to install a 50,000 BTU Mr heater (propane) and wanted to plumb in for a future propane range in the loft at the same time. I will pull a gas permit as required by the Technical Safety BC. and follow the B149 ( for Canada- BC) which allows a stub to be placed for future appliances as long as it is capped off correctly. My question is , can the T and 3 inch dirt pocket (often called sediment trap) be in the wall behind drywall? I am guessing it can't be , because you could never remove the cap from the T to drain it, but there is not much room behind a range. Thanks for the expert help.
