Located in South Jersey (Deptford) Any recommendations on local stores that may carry this thermocouple for my propane heater? No go at Loews and depot, theirs do not have the 2 leads that are close to the fitting. I'm guessing that the cut off switch?

Anyways I need it before tomorrow so I can work in the garage, otherwise I would just order off Amazon. I don't mind paying a few bucks but Grainger is special order(2-3 day) and $52!

Model: 85-FAC or SPC-85
Part number: 113884-01

Thanks!

In 2007 I bought a 40,000BTU propane heater from Home Depot. Last year the thermocouple went bad. After a little research I found PN 104146-02 Reddy Desa LP Heater for $23.60 from Tri City Tool Parts located in Elbrun IL 60119. My thermocouple is 18" and has the electric fittings that go to the thermal switch. Hope this helps. I did not have any luck locating it locally in Central Ohio.

I did some cleaning and trouble shooting yesterday....

1) With no propane connected I plugged it in, the fan kicks on and spark plug is arcing(visual and audible).
2) Unplugged power, and connect propane and open tank valve. Set dial to low and pressed light button, heard flow of propane. Turn dial up to high, and hear higher flow of propane. Also note smell of propane.
3) Plugged in with fan blowing, spark plug arcing, and dial on high, pressed and held light button as instructions state and NOTHING. Smell of propane again. Tried several times with no luck.

Waited 5 minuted and tried the following:

4) Unplug power, propane connected and valve open, depressed light button to flow propane. I was able to light the propane manually (this doesn't seem very safe, however) and then plug in, to turn on fan and the unit stayed lit. Also dial controlled the flame very well. Heated up my 1 car garage in 15 mins, making it comfortable to work in.

So with all that said, is it the thermocouple I need to replace? This is the first time I have ever worked on these type bullet garage heaters. I appreciate your help.

EDIT:
