I have a Mr Heater 30-55k BTU propane heater. You know the kind - little torpedo things.
It takes 120V AC for the fan and a 20lb propane tank. My wife gave it to me several years ago, but I now have a mini-split in my garage so I don't really need it.
The price tag of $139.99 is still on it, but it's used and ~10 years old. It still works fine.
Half of new price?

FWIW...my wife is very practical. She's fine with me selling it even though it was a gift from her.

$100 or Best Offer!
Probably end up getting $50 to $75 for it depending on your location and the Buyers immediate need?

I think I would save it for power outages if you have a generator to run it.

Good point...and it saved us several years ago when the heat pump was on its last legs on the previous house.

We have a propane powered whole-house generator and a heat pump that runs off propane for auxillary heat.

I would say half of new would be a good place to start.

Personally, if you have a place to store it, I'd hang onto it. I have an old kerosene torpedo heater that I absolutely hate because of the smell, but it seems like every couple years I have a need for it. It's never really in the way, and well worth the $50-$75 I would get for it.

Probably $25-30.

It’s ten years old, and I am pretty sure you can find one on sale for less than $100.

Personally, I would donate it to Habitat or another non profit rather than going through the hassle of listing or advertising it and then having to deal with the assorted riffraff and cheapskates, most of whom are no shows that used stuff seems to attract.

My wife has sold things through FB Marketplace. With all the phone calls, scheduling, and no shows she has dealt with, she probably makes less than minimum wage.

The only saving grace is that it eliminates clutter when it’s gone, and if it’s heavy, I don’t have to deal with getting it into the truck.

Rant complete.

I listed it for $80 and got $80.
A guy who lives close to where I work contacted me about it. I took it to his house where he had a propane tank and an extension cord ready. I connected it and showed it that it worked, he gave me the cash, and I drove away.

It was a good transaction and he even admitted - can't beat you up on the price since you're delivering it to me and it basically looks like new.

I got a little more than half of new price and got rid of other piece of clutter in my garage.

Great ending to the story. That didn’t take long at all and you gained space. Win-win

I bet I’m not the only one who wishes he could get back half of what he paid for some of the extra stuff laying around taking up space.

Since you offer delivery, what else are you selling?

How about a 45 gallon aquarium with stand, light, and fish food?
How about a 18k wedding ring set (lady's solitaire, wedding band, man's band with 3 small diamonds)?
A Greenworks 40V leaf blower, one battery included, but no charger?

HF has one on sale for, I think, about the same price.

The op made out like a bandit if he found a fish that paid $80 or whatever for a used one.

Hmmm...well, I'm on a lake so if I want to see fish I go closer to the water. Been married for 43 yrs so no need for wedding rings and I just bought a back pack leaf blower.

You did good selling your heater.

Spudley, What you looking for?
A SV9510 Honeywell gas valve, 20 sheets of 1/2" 4x8' drywall (4x12' if you're helping), and 500 sq ft of 15" R19 insulation, batts or rolls. Preferably delivered.

That should keep me busy for a few days.
