Hoping someone out there knows...

Getting a propane delivery to a large stationary tank (that's about half full if that matters) approximately what is the delivery rate in GPM (gallons per minute)

Is is possible that I'm getting 200 gallons pumped in a little over 3 minutes?

Thanks

I had an empty 500 gallon tank filled in August, they put 400 gallons in it. I didn't time the guy, but it only took a few minutes to fill the tank up. It took longer to sign the paperwork than it did to fill up the tank.

I saw this in google for a propane truck fitment service

"Oilheat and propane delivery trucks are the backbone of any fuel delivery ... Flow rates range from 20 to 500 GPM and pressures up to 125 PSI"

So 66.67gpm would get you there in 3 min which I would say is in the lower end of this companies units they sell

Thanks.

I must have been using the wrong search terms.

"propane truck fitment service" did the trick.

Much appreciated

When I used to do regulatory compliance testing of propane trucks flow rate was something that was checked and it would vary from truck to truck low side was 50-60 gpm high side was 120-140 gpm.

Depends on the temp outside also, some companies will "pack" the tanks in the extreme cold. If there are warmer temp ahead they will only go to 80%. Maybe about 15 mins tops to fill a 500.
