Propane valve

Hey guys wanted to ask a ? I have a dayton unit heater it needs a new gas valve I could prob order one from Grainger but prob cost more then the heaters worth it is a dayton unit heater 25,000 btu model no 3E228 I have a brand new whirlpool 30 gal hot water heater propane that I don't need I've had it about 8 years still in box would that gas valve work on the dayton Thanks

look at bot valves are they the same brand? if so see if the numbers match up. if not what are the heating output specks of the dryer, are they the same control voltage?

Sell the water heater, buy a new valve.
