ProPex question: can I tighten a brass ****** that's already installed?

Apparently I didn't tighten some brass pex-to-mpt connectors tight enough into the female npt tee. I have two that have a very very slow drip even with the teflon tape. They are already fastened to 3/4" Uponer ProPex tubing with the Uponer compression rings. Would it be okay if I take a wrench and tighten the brass fitting without compromising the ProPex seal?

I’ve done it. Doubt it’s in the best practices manual but what choice do you have?

I turn (twist) uponor fittings all the time. Not a problem at all.

I do cringe while doing it if it has been in use for a long period of time, but then I'm generally doing it only to make a change or repair anyway so I can just redo the twisted fitting too if need be, but so far so good on older fittings too.

Take it out, clean it up and then put tape and sealant on the threads.

I turned them each about 20 degrees and zero leak and no explosion.

Problem is the crimp sleeve. If no extra tube you have to cut it off.
