Proposed Hangar in AZ

I have hovered (no pun intended) around these boards for sometime. I am looking at building a small (40x40) hangar in the Phoenix area. This is a rough idea of what I would like to do. I am not a fan of the typical hangar so a kit is out. Cement block walls for "style", corrugated roof, and minimalist'ish on the interior.

Place to store an aircraft, have gatherings, a small memorabilia collections, and a place to swap lies.

Since you mentioned that your in the Phoenix area. Have you checked with Maricopa County yet? Building any type of permanent structure is going to require a building permit.

Perfect scenario for a metal building hybrid. You need the steel structure for the door. The roof can be anything you like. The CMU becomes non structural and you may be able to save some money and do the back wall in steel.

Well if you are building the hangar then it must be one of the private fields around Phoenix. I can remember when Stellar was relatively cheap to buy in.
