Protecting SER Cable

I am planning a 90 amp panel in a new garage addition. I have a #2 AL SER cable to be run from the panel in the basement to the new panel on the right. My only choice to route the cable without tearing up my finished basement would be to come out through the 14" rim joist on the left and then under the fireplace chase (exhaust to be relocated) and then to the panel on the right.

What are my options for protecting the cable from damage? I want to tuck it close to the wall. Can I sleeve it in a 1 1/4 EMT? Also, how do I make the tight radius for both the panel and the entrance into the house?

TIA...
