Proto 12 pt line wrenches?

Was going through my dad's old tools and brought these home. Any information on these?

Proto 12 pt (???) line wrenches. Marked "MFD Los Angeles USA"

Now, them are nifty. Good for hydraulic work where quarters are tight. They allow for turning where an open end wont fit.

I have a few of them. That really surprises me that they are that old. The thing I use them for mostly is carburetor studs and hold down nuts.

i have a couple of them that belonged to my dad. dont know when he bought them, or why he bought them, probably late 50's/early 60's
he was a welder, but he did work, (for a short time), at a place that repaired semi trailers.

i dont care for 12pt, they've rounded fittings every time ive used one.
