Proto 2335... what is it?

Its a rod with 5 "leaves" on it held in place with 2 caps, and a nut on the end to adjust the tension on them (see pics). About 8-9" long.

I was thinking adjustable reamer, but it doesent seem stout enough or precise enough.

I think it has something to do with valve guides or lifters.

I'd say a real old valve guide reamer/scraper.
