Was the incomplete set sealed when you received it?

it looked sealed but the side proto label had lost all its stickiness on one side of the clamshell case and was a false positive for "sealed". The top barcode label was scrunched up but i figured that could have been done in shipping when i first grabbed it.

just saw your post that you were missing a piece from the set. Maybe Grainger was trying to unload their defect inventory at 31$

Grainger by all accounts has done everything they could for customers reporting defects or missing pieces, including both of us. Also, these sets were drop shipped from Proto, so they were never actually Grainger’s inventory except very briefly if a customer picked up from a store. That’s why there was a delay between order and fulfillment. So I don’t think Grainger deserves anything but high praise from us here regarding these transactions.

The issues are all on Proto. They appear to have order fulfillment competency issues. Getting a large quantity of repetitive orders correct should be a core competency for an industrial parts or equipment supplier!

again, complete agreement. i find it amusing that they substituted some of their other brand sockets into the sets, i assume hoping no one would notice, but shipping two 16's, and no 15 (or whatever it was) is horrible. i always check, but what if i were buying some for gifts, and didnt think to open them to check?

Me. Thanks for the kind words.

Ebay is calculating the shipping based on the size, not trying to scam anyone.

Oh please. It's mainly based on weight, distance, and service speed. The size only effects the price when it's oversized which the proto case is not. It's at that absurd shipping price because you chose an "expedited" service. I sell on ebay on the regular so I'm completely familiar with the way their shipping works.

Dang brother, my fault for not being as intelligent and well versed in the ways of the world such as yourself. You sure caught me. I'm just a simple ******* bumbling through this world trying to get rich overcharging people for shipping on eBay. Please accept my humblest apologies.

Far nicer than I'd have been.

Yes, but in their defense, they did get slammed a bit hard when a distributor sold an item at 1/5 it's retail value, creating unpredictable demand.
