Proto 5450

Hey all, I screwed the pooch today. I doing my monthly ratchet maintenance, I opened my 5450 and long story short I lost the 2 metal tabs/pawls and 1 spring. I looked everywhere with no luck. Does anyone have those parts or even the rebuild kit for sale. I know Grainger still warranties Proto but I don't have a business account or Grainger near me.

That is my favorite long handled 1/2" drive. I named him Rex.
So please help me out, let me know what you have.

If and only if you're unable to find the parts any other way, Amazon is an option. I've never had trouble buying from them and for $10 or whatever it usually cost me to pick up spare kits, I figured it was worth it.

On Amazon you can search for SEPTLS5775449RK and it will be the kit you need. Picture is wrong, per the reviews (I've seen this on several gut kits on Amazon) but it is the correct kit.

I know how you feel about the ratchets, I have long handled Big Dogs and regular handled coarse tooth versions like the 5449, which is the short version of your long handled model. I love these ratchets, they are tough as nails and smooth as butter when you use Super Lube in them (only a little!). Awesome pieces, worth saving if you can get the parts you need.

It is going to cost about 17 dollar to get a rebuild kit. I loved proto ratchets. When I pick up my craftsman master set, I did not like the rp ratchets at all. So I got proto ratchets instead. They are just great ratchets.

Here is the amazon repair rebuild kit. Amazon does not sell it, it is only through their market place.
