I recently filled my want for domestic offset DBE's in fractional sizing. I found a set of Blackhawk's and pulled the trigger.

Now I'm looking at metric options. The 7 piece Proto (https://www.zoro.com/proto-7-piece-...ED1tIVyR7-CgPUXxDnelq9mIq-9e6hfEaArOwEALw_wcB) seems to be what I'm looking for. But, before I commit, I'm wondering if there are other sets in a similar price range. I know there are a ton of Asian options out there but I ALWAYS at least try to go domestic first. Try, I said. Sometimes retirement income pushes me in another direction.

Any advice/experience would be appreciated.

Whatever you do, don't be tempted by the Wright double box wrenches. I bought two a couple of years ago. The heads are thick and there is a lot of metal outside of the broaching. As in, a laughable amount. They are probably very strong, but they are limited in automotive uses.

I've got a set of recent production Williams USA double box in metric that I like a lot and the price was not bad.

Go check your local classifieds first before you pull the trigger. Used metric proto sets may not show up a often as SAE sets, but it still may be worth a try.
