Takes a "special" grease gun. If it's like other air tools that have a grease fitting, it'll use a tool similar to this:Not trying to thread jack but it seems like no one knows the answer... do you know if there's a special needle for a grease gun to inject grease? I borrowed a Co workers mini gun and the grease would just refuse to go in the ball valve.. tried another Co workers and same thing... either my impact gun is refusing to accept grease (defective grease valve) or I'm using the wrong tips on the grease guns...

There are other suppliers, but this was an easy example.
I wouldn't expect the grease cavity to be well-sealed; so it's probably not "full" and not accepting more. (Well, I don't know for sure. If the grease cavity were well-sealed, you'd never have to add more--right? Why put a grease fitting on a sealed cavity?) What does the tool documentation say about greasing? That's the one I used.. I tried from IR, SO, Matco, and now waiting for the Mac guy to restock on his... when I inject it, the grease just pushes out around the sides of the needle, not going in.. defective valve?

Defective valve seems the most likely.
P.S., this is why I tend to buy oil-lubricated air tools. The oil is sealed-in; I drain and replace the oil through the pipe plug maybe every year. Less than that now that I don't use them professionally.
