Hey, everyone. I have a Proto Professional 3/8" ratchet, model number 5252. I'm trying to find out if it is missing the thumb release button. In the selector knob is a small rod that's threaded and I was hoping to find a replacement. Any help is appreciated.

I'm not too sure that something else might be going on; I have a flex version and it has entirely different parts than you show:

I haven't been able to find anything online that matches my ratchet. The underside says "PAT PENDING", so no patent number to track down.

Galaxy rat I am pretty sure I gave that rat.
Let me locate it and compare mine with yours.

I could not find the ratchet ,but I did locate the extra ratchet repair kit I have for it.
As you most likely suspect,yours is missing the center button in the middle.
The part number for the correct repair kit is 5252ARK,but it is different from the kit linked above. The Urrea linked kit fits the older Stanley,Husky made ratchets without a thumb wheel.
