Proto Tool Boxes, Where to buy?

I'm looking at order a 66" Proto 550S bottom box and possibly a top box. There's a catch, it needs to be drop shipped to a barge terminal in Seattle for a trip up to a mine in Alaska. Any recommendations on where to buy it from?

Global industrial, Grainger, and Zoro list the box. I emailed elite tool boxes though it sounds like they don't want my money/ don't want to deal with Alaska and said they won't ship to a freight forwarder. Toolup.com lists similar boxes though I need to call during business hours. So far after 15 minutes on hold with Zoro they will ship to a freight forwarder. I'm going to see if I can track down who our actual Grainger rep is at work for a better price/ the lady on the phone wouldn't give me a shipping price unless I had an account number. Global will drop ship the box though doesn't list it in blue, my prefered color, on their website and won't entertain the idea of ordering it in blue.

If I could get close to Zoro/ Gringer pricing and deal with a smaller business where I'm not just a number I'd gladly give them my money. The box is built to order and not in stock anywhere. I've read about problems with Zoro canceling orders and the shipping might be a bit tricky.

Why don't you contact Proto (Stanley??) and see if there isn't a distributor in Alaska? I find it hard to believe there would not be a source already established there that would be able to get you the box you want.

It does look like Fastenal is a proto dealer and we have a rep out here from Fastenal weekly. I'll give him a call and see what he can do. The price they list is above Grainger with tax/ shipping to Seattle though there's some room to move with most fastenal stuff.

The local industrial hardware dealer is on the list as well though they usually don't like to special order stuff.

Shipping to southeast Alaska is odd and expensive. If it's somewhere on the road system in stock they have to ship to down to Seattle and back up.

Waiting to hear back from my fastenal guy. Elite toolboxes is getting me a price. So far the best deal is from global industrial, they sent me a 10% off code and they'll accept paypal for 0% for 6 months which is nice.

Anyone buy one from somewhere else?
