I'm pretty sure the newer proto tool boxes are pretty much the same as the Mac tech series tool boxes but not 100 percent sure.

i think proto has a couple different levels of boxes,
some that i've seen rival CM in quality, others seem to be well made.

one of my customers (steel mill) supplies boxes to their mechanics.
all nice & shiney proto boxes, filled with proto tools.

they dont seem to mind them, but i've also never seen any of them doing anything :dunno:

This box in the image has the exact same dimensions as a double bay Macsimizer. It's made in the same building as the MAC boxes are.

I have three. I think they're decent. Probably in the middle, construction wise.

The high end proto are mac level boxes. Very well made. The middle grade is are well made and good quality. They no longer made a lower end box. They leave that to Blackhawk, but pretty nice boxes.
