I guess this goes in the tool thread.

I've been going through my Uncle's effects (see some cool toolboards) and found some old PROTO magazines for tool dealers from 1954! I've uploaded them, so check 'em out.

Also I found these awesome BJ Red Top Tong Dies Mini-Pinup Calenders from the same year. Enjoy!

I'll be damned if those aren't sexier than any printed advertisement out there today.

Way cool !
Those calendars are just plain classy.
Not only is the display carousel just bitchin , those pedal cars hanging on the wall in the back ground are pretty neat too.
Imagine finding one of those tool displays stuffed away in an old hardware stores strage area !

I didn't realize people got so dressed up in 1954 to look at or to sell tools.
That is a neat tool display though.
Yep, calendars were cool before the politically correct police came along.

That is cool. Thanks for posting.

On page 4 of the first one there is this statement: "Under terms of our guarantee, socket wrenches are not covered if they are worn out by long use, altered from the original design or misused...."

I always thought that lots of regular use would be covered. Interesting.
