Proto Universal Impact socket warranty?

Hello,

Can anyone confirm if proto universal/swivel impact sockets have a warranty?

I have a Proto impact swivel adapter that has held up extremely well and unlike my Proto 1/2" drive to 3/8" drive adapter, it does not say "non-warrantied" on the side of it. However, I've read that Proto does not warranty their universal sockets. Can anyone confirm or disprove this?

I have had good luck with Proto's mail in warranty in the past and I generally lean Proto for the quality to price ratio. For context, I work on heavy ag machinery, vehicles, and ATVs. I see folks recommending the Sunex universal sockets and the Astro Pnuematic impact swivels. If you have had a good experience with either under heavy use, please let me know your thoughts.

I'd really like to go Proto on the universals for the USA made quality, while still maintaining some affordibility compared to Snap On or Mac, but I have a tendency to wear out/round out impact sockets every few years from heavy use, so a warranty is nice.

As an alternative, do Wright universal impacts carry a warranty?

I don't know about impact sockets, but at work I had a Wright impact extension that lost the detent and it wasn't warrantable.

Just stay with the PROTO sockets and get them to warranty it never had a problem over the years as a fellow PROTO owner and if you want a back up set I have used the ASTRO 3/8 hard since they came out and never broke one for how many ever years they have been available a good value.

Thank you all for the replies. The adapters and thin wall sockets have "non-warrantied item" or something like that stamped on the side. For the price and quality of those items, I'm fine with that. The universal adapter I have does not have that stamped on it. However, given the Proto warranty 3baygarage just posted, it would seem that universal sockets are not covered.

Normally, I consider Proto to be of such quality that a lack of warranty would not be a concern. However, swivel sockets seem more likely to wear and/or break under hard and heavy use, hence the post.

Thanks for all the input so far. I am tempted to get the Protos anyway and would expect to have no issue. They also generally seem fairly lenient regarding warranty items, so I wonder if that might apply to the universal sockets.

Any others with experience warrantying Proto universal sockets or good experiences with other brands?
