What he said, those Protos are US made and the Mac wrenches pictured are made in Taiwan. Both are great wrenches though.

On a side note, PROTO also offers some smooth beam, fully polished chrome ratcheting combination wrenches that are made in Taiwan and they have black combination ratcheting wrenches that are also Taiwan made.

I would go with the proto set. mac truck will warranty them if needed.

Thanks for the info fellas. I'm gonna go with the Proto's. Time to put my money where my mouth is, and keep Americans working. I swear, with all the tools coming out of TW, I don't know how they make anything else!
Now to find out if the Mac student tech discount applies to the Proto line up

With the thread the other day about the new Proto 2' long 90t 1/2 ratchet being a lot more expensive than the Mac version, if buying new I'd price shop between them if similar product.
