Proto version of Facom Vice grips

Where can I find the Proto (cheaper) version of the Facom locking pliers? They are built like a tank

They are fantastic. It's what I use all the time. fair warning - the jaws are wider.

For now. But the Malcos, as nice as they are, don't open up nearly as wide as the J500As, as they don't have the 5 position wide-adjustment rack like the Facom pliers do.

The Facoms open up wide enough to use them for loosening oil filters

Facom also used to sell replacement jaws, although I’m not sure whether they still do.

So I ordered a pair of these through Zoro, taking forever to ship. Ordered them about two months ago, still waiting.

I still have the Proto ones in stock (as well as the Facom ones). Proto will no longer be bringing in the rebranded Facom pliers. Shows as "discontinued" on their 2023 price sheet.
