I think that most of their hand tools are still made in the USA.

I have used Proto hand tools for 30 years. Not one warranty ever needed. I even use the U.S. made ratcheting wrenches. Those have open sides that allow dirt in them and require cleaning. They are easy to work on, though. The ratchets have fewer teeth than some others. It's an old design that has apparently never been updated. They are reliable and fairly smooth but need a bit of swing to ratchet. Most of mine are industrial black finish because it's cheaper.

I have some wrenches and sockets. The wrenches I have are a matte chrome finish. Nice stuff. They tend to be much cheaper on the secondhand market than other brands.

I think most Proto stuff is manufactured in Texas.

I have used Proto tools for years and all myProto hand tools are US made. I have two Proto tool boxes and I would have to check COO, but I am pretty sure they arre made in North America, not Asia.
I buy and and all Proto tools I find at flea markets or pawn shops.

You'll also find that Blackhawk is a part of the Stanley group as well and if you shop carefully you'll find that many (not all) of the Blackhawk products are still domestically manufactured.

Elroy knows of Southern well and he can assure you they have nothing like this:

Elroy loves new tools that come in boxes

It's even better when the box has the correct COO

Full Polish Blackhawks made in the USA.

And you thought your Bonney's and Cornwell's had nice thick beams

Made in the USA by our good friends at Stanley. The pouch ***** but these box ends are nothing but nice

Elroy told me he had been Jones'in for these and in some respects this thread pushed Elroy into making the purchase. Picked em up today

Stanley Dallas Mechanics Tool Division is in Farmers Branch area of Dallas about 10 to 15 mins. east of DFW Airport. If I remember Valley View Drive? Still was working in Oct. when I was there on a Sunday and yes they were making tools on a Sunday.

Wow, looks good Elroy!

Do you know which other Blackhawk tools are still made in the USA?

There are several. The most notable is their impact sockets are still made in the US but that's subject to change.

Ya simply have to shop around.
