Protoco Magnetic Wrench Racks question...

I am a bit confused, I was getting ready to order some protoco wrench racks, and noticed they have "regular" and "magnetic". However, the pictures look the same.

Does magnetic mean the magnets hold the wrenches in the rack, or that the magnets hold the rack itself to a metal drawer?

Thanks,
Mark

Mark,
I would guess/surmise that the magnetic racks have strips on back to secure them to draw bottom.
Protoco has been around as an OEM to the tool truck companies for a couple decades at least. My son just showed up with a few standard racks and they appear unchanged from 20 years ago, except that some have rubber cushion strips on front. I ripped that stuff off as wrenches don't sit at full depth when mounted vertically.
Great products.
Here's an adjustable rack that holds wrenches magnetically. A bit expensive but impressive.:

nobody could answer this question? wow

the protoco wrench racks come in standard and magnetic. the magnetic one means there is a magnet under the rack to hold the rack still in the drawer, not the wrenches. to be honest its a waste of money to get the ones with magnets.

if you have a whole wrench set to put on the rack chances are it is heavy enough that it stays in place. if it doesn't stay in place just put a small dab of silicone under it and let it dry.

best price i have seen on the protoco racks are at tiretoolsonline.com

i have a picture:
