This is one of the latest projects I have been working on. It is a Stubby front winch bumper for the Jeep JK and JKU. The bumper was designed for use with a winch. The bumper was designed in Solidworks. Each part of the assembly was cut as a flat part on a CNC laser and then formed on a hydraulic press brake.

Each of the welds will be polished down smooth. I showed the tacked together version so what the process required to cut, form, weld and finish out a part like this.

The d-ring mounts pass through the bumper and will be welded on both sides. I will post some back side pics of the bumper soon.

Here is a link to a blog post about this project.

I will post up some updates soon.

Looks great! How much would one of those cost me? Just curious. Are you planning to put any type of bar over the winch?

I'm probably missing it, but what are the holes towards the ends for?

Great work as always.

I'd love to see a pic of it mounted. There are quite a few JK guys on the local forum I frequent.

I will be mounting it soon. I have been slammed with a few other projects in the shop. I will be sure to post up some finished pics for you. If you are on Instagram I post a lot of pics there. My username is motobilt_inc

Looks good. Clean lines and simple and tight.
Although I have to say I'm really not a fan of the extra holes or the logo cut out. But I just don't like that in all bumpers... Not just yours :)

The bumper is welded out and finish work is done. We will test fit and then add tube work to the bumper sometime this week.

Looks great! I really like it!

Hopefully this comes across as constructive, I meant nothing other! If you are going to offer it coated, make sure your powder coat guy does a good job of sandblasting before powder. Every aftermarket bumper I see starts too look like **** after a year or two in the weather. No big deal if you are gunna trail ride or rock crawl, but for a pavement queen like my wife's jeep it looks like ****.

My wife drives a Moab edition jk and it's got the a aev bumpers. They looked great, but are already starting to show some rust around the shackles where it looks like the coating was sprayed thin.

I don't know of a template. I use a sharp razor knife. You can score it and then flex it over and finish the cut easily. I would recommend using tape to put down the line you want to cut. This will help you keep things straight.
