I'm sure Ign won't mind if you borrow this design..

For about 8 years I've been meaning to do this instead of having my pry bars in a heap on the bottom level of my cart.

Last night I got a wild hair and grabbed some scrap 20ga. Bent it up in my finger brake and did 1" holes, dimpled. It's not perfect but soooo much better.

Simple and effective... thats a great idea, kudos to Ign. However, I have all the tools to do that.... I don't want to do it unless I have to buy a new tool!! :lol_hitti

How did IGN 'dimple' the holes?

Dimple die and a press?

Drill a hole in a 2x4 a little larger than the hole in the metal. Center the metal hole over your wood hole. Place the ball end of a ballpein on top, and whack it with a deadblow hammer. Don't use a metal hammer, you could damage one or both hammers, causing a piece of shrapnel to fly off.

Type "Homemade screwdriver holder" into google images. There are a million different ideas. Just make the holes bigger. I have a pry bar box similar to sunex, but forget the brand. It's older. A few of my bars were too big and I had to bore the holes out a bit. To be honest, I could live without it because it takes up a lot of room when opened, but it's there now.
