Pry Bar Storage

On a hanger or taking up drawer space? I suppose if you have the gorgeous orange, green other striking color, you gotta let them hang out? Just curious. Deep drawer space seems to be a premium spot.

hmm, im glad you asked i am ordering a set of mayhew dominators on mon. i was also just wondering what to do with mine. i was thinking of making a hanger for mine.

Both. My longest ones are too tall for a holder attached to my cart so they all go in the long drawer second from the top along with hammers, chisels, punches, picks,, awls, cutting implements, and scrapers. I also have some in my cart that has the built in rack along the sides of the top compartment. krsc31 I think is the model number.

I only have a 27" chest, so my 5pc CMan Pro's have no choice but to hang on the wall...

Of course Snap On, and others I'm sure, make a hanger for the side of the box or cart. It seems a manageable project even for the novice metal manipulator. Anyone have pictures of their clever solution?

My common pry bars have storage built in on my Cornwell cart. Others lay in a drawer in my main box. I took two worm drive hose clamps, placed one around my cart handle holding the second clamp at 90 degrees. Makes the perfect low cost holder for a 3 foot pry bar.

looked at a piece of 2x2 alum angle at lowes; was about 13 for a 8 ft stick
was gonna drill it and make holes for prybars; but i also need to keep them locked up(scary as neighborhood at night)

Cheap as this must sound, I used one of the drawers in my box to house them (my c-man red handled 3-piece set) in the plastic tray they came in. Actually works pretty good, I must say.

My farther in-law is a tin knocker and made this up for me. My big 54inch gets hung inside my hutch.

Been thinking about this myself. I see that the Sunex one locks up.

Do you guys worry about that inside your shop?

I guess the theory is to lock up all pry bars and bolt cutters so some troubled soul cannot use your own tools to rob your other tools...

But if a criminal is loose inside my shop for any long stretch of time a few toolbox locks won't stop them.

The Sunex unit is nice. Security isn't too big an issue for me. I like the low cost (cheap) methods for hanging them on the cart. I need to make a sheet metal brake.

Since I have a decent amount of wide drawers in my 1032, I just keep them in a drawer.
