PS101 Penetrating Sealer + Latex Based Paint

I have two gallons of PS101 penetrating sealer that I was originally going to apply to protect the concrete prior to applying RaceDeck FreeFlow Tiles. I changed my mind and decided that I will just settle for a latex based paint (Drylok Concrete Floor Paint). My question is, does anyone know if a siliconate penetrating sealer will work well as a primer for the Drylok paint? I spoke to Michael from Concrete Sealers USA and did not get a direct answer. He mentioned the PS101 hasn't been tested with the 1,000+ different topical coatings out there, but generally the PS101 does not have any debonding characteristics. When asked if it was tested with a latex paint, he said, "I don't have an answer" for you. So as you can see, I don't feel confident that this sealer is a good option prior to applying Drylok. I will check with Drylok on their opinion, but wanted to see if anyone had experience or knowledge with this. The last thing I want is for the paint to peel off sooner with the sealer than without.

I think no matter what answer you may get, I would do a test patch somewhere to try it out.

I applied PS101 on a fresh 2000 sq. ft slab then waited a week and applied an acrylic sealer. I applied two coats of acrylic and the slab surface accepted the sealer just fine. The PS101 appears to penetrate just down below the surface not affecting the top substrate. Try a small 6" x6" area first.

As a general rule we find that any sealer can cause a topical coating to delaminate, and we would not recommend this combo without testing thoroughly.

Thanks guys. I decided to go with G Floor small coin roll out mat rather than paint. There doesn't seem to be any topical coating suitable for cold weather application. It's in the mid 30's to low 40's in Cleveland now and I rather do something about it now than later as we just bought the house and the garage is empty.

I spent the last week filling in all cracks. So the plan is to apply PS101 to protect the concrete before the roll out mat arrives. I have a propane torpedo heater I will use to pre-heat the garage prior to applying PS101. I will periodically use the propane heater during the curing process. I'll be cutting it close with temperature, but then again, I'm just going to throw a mat over it anyways!
