Sandpaper Storage Solution-

This is what I came up with for storing and dispensing 3m Stikit rolls.

The only other option available was this:

They run $85. per box, and I would have needed to buy two or three of them.

I had most of the material on hand from other jobs. I ended up spending about $20 on hardware, but could have gone without the piano hinge or stainless hardware...

The box is made from 1/4" HDPE.
It has adjustable dividers for storing all different sizes of rolls.
I would recommend a thicker material if you are thinking of building one.
The rod is just a piece of 3/4" galvanized conduit.
The cutting blade is just a piece of mild steel I had laying around. It was sharpened and painted.
Interior size is roughly 33"x6"x6"

Still a work in progress.

The next addition is going to be a place to store all of the wet/dry paper.

Great ideas and work! You guys must have more sandpaper than I. I'm using one of those accordion file folders. One compartment for each grade of paper.

Very nice. There's always that question of what's your time worth though.
Although long term looking at something you built is 1000X more satisfying than looking at something you simply purchased.

I totally agree. In this case I decided to put the money toward some nice powered respirators instead. It took about 5 hours to build the box with some simple tools.
