Puddle problem

I'm going to have my garage floor coated with epoxy, but I have an existing issue that I need to take car if first. I get a couple of puddles near the garage door.

Is it possible to grind enough off the threshold with the floor prep machine to fix this?

Do you think adding another saw cut parallel to the door connecting with the existing saw cut would provide some drainage for the puddles?

I poured ~5 gallons of water on the floor to take these pictures. I tried to outline the puddles with chalk to make them show up better in the pictures. Might be 1/4" deep at the worst part.

Thanks for the pic fix. I guess I managed the pictorial version of typing in all caps.

Are the puddles from water getting in under the garage door, or run off from wet cars or melting snow from the vehicle? Once you put down a coating, no water will absorb into the concrete. It will need a place to go. Any drains in the garage? Is there some slope that will encourage water to go where you want?
I found this out the hard way post-epoxy.

The puddles typically form from water brought in by the cars. That can be a lot of water in the winter. The exterior grading is ok, but the slab inside the door has a couple of low spots.

There are not any drains in the garage. I'm still considering running a saw cut through the puddles to connect up with the existing cuts. That will provide a channel for the water.

I would look into leveling out that 1/4" low spot with epoxy or some other durable material. Do some research .... I'm sure some other folks have ran into this issue before.

I have a low spot in my garage but it's not as deep as yours and I just left it alone.
