Finally decided to pull the trigger on a brand new bandsaw 7X12;
Made a few cuts and I'm within a few thou straightness!!! Nice!!!

Good addition to the lathe.
Now I'm starting to be able to tinker quite well;

Next purchase will be a DRO for the Milling

Great looking saw, look forward to seeing pics of projects you've started with it.

nice saw,i have an older jet that size,i don't know about you,but i'm swaping out two of the wheels to ones that swivel,why they put 4 no swivel wheels on these things is beyond me.just pay attension to what blade you use for cutting certain material,it's easy to wipe one out and turn it into a butter knife.

Very cool...love the 7x12's.

Ours has been a workhorse......its one of the dirtiest pcs in our shop,and thats perfectly cool.It gets used that much.

A cpl things make them work better.The length stops(rod for setting part/drop length) that come on these are woefully under-developed.They're trying to hit pricepoints so its understandable.But most will benifit from really developing that aspect.And don't forget your infeed side.Look at welding world for "remote" stands.Study a bit on mitre bx(woodworld)cut stations.....they're way closer than folks realize.They can be built as a quick,on/off,sub-assembly.Even to the point of making them out of wood.

Also need to find a sm vise that you clamp into saws main vise.May have to fabricate one?But ,they're invaluable for cutting sm pcs.

Edit to add:googlefoo Tiger stop......a hillbilly version of one of those would be easy enough to make.

You'll love it!

They don't give them swivel casters so the whole thing doesn't walk when you pull stock thru it. I personally really like the stock wheels; it was designed that way intentionally.

I know this is an old post. I own 7x12 Trajan band saw. Your saws looks great ,I just wanna ask if you're using the coolant system. In terms of cutting results, is there a difference between cutting with coolant or with out coolant?
