Was at the Mecum auction in Kissimmee, fl last week and saw the Advantage lift demo of their 4-post lift. It was impressive and compared very favorably with the bendpak 9,000 lb lift I had been looking at. They had a package deal that included a rolling jack tray, drip pans, ramps and casters. I added on air operated jacks so I could do wheel & suspension work.
After purchasing a car at the auction decided it was time to buy the lift. Went back home and went over everything between the Bendpak and the Advantage lifts and decided on the Advantge. It arrives next week and I will install myself. I'll post updates as I progress.
Thanks for everyone's input from all previous posts (I read them all).

My dad was down there for that last week also. He didn't end up buying anything though. I've been looking at some 4 post lifts, I always wondered how they worked for suspension/wheel work.

Congrats on the lift purchase! So what kind of car did we buy at Mecums? I know you will be enjoying both.

I bought a 1970 Oldsmobile 442 W-30 replica. I have a real w-30 engine and that is all it lacks. Simple swap and there it is.

Memories ..... In 1970 I traded in a 68 Roadrunner for an aspen green W30 with the 455 - auto combo.
Easily the best car I've ever owned. I had a friend that had a 454 Chevelle 4sp and we used to swap cars for the weekend.

Those were the days.
