As my title said I did it!! I went with a Mueller Pre-Fab 30'x 50' with a 12' Lean
to or shed on the 50' side. Slab will be 42'x50'. I am doing alot of the concrete work as well as erecting the building. ( Never put up a metal building:headscrat)I have a couple of buddies who are concrete guys to shoot the grade, read the
blueprints, make sure anchor bolts are set correctly& do the finishing. I will do
all the grunt work! In my perfect world I would have liked to have it all done&all
I needed to do was drive it, set back ,pop a beer:bounce: But that AIN'T gonna
happen. It will have two 12'x12' roll up doors. One on each end so I can drive thru. Two walk in doors, 3-6'x3'windows, 2- 3'x3' windows all double pane.four skylights in roof, roof & walls will be insulated. Going to pour a 8'x12' slab that
will be my bathroom. I will be able to enter it from my office/mancave.This way
space in my office wont be wasted on the head. Thinking about 12'x24' office.I will plumb & do the electrical work also:scared: Will use a lot of Eastern Red Cedar in my mancave, as I have a sawmill! Got some great ideals from you fellows:bounce::bounce: Thanks, Will post pics one projectstarts:drool: Woodweasel:):)

I'm proud for you! I live in Texas as well, about 25 miles outside of Waco. I have started looking for a shop to build as well, yet cost effective my single car garage is just too small. Good luck with your endeavor.

I say good for you. I have assisted with the erection of a couple of Mueller buildings, the last being a 40x50. Was not involved with the concrete work which is pretty important in my opinion. With 4 guys, and me being the youngest at the time (62), we had the building completed in 12 days. It helps when someone else has pretty good knowledge on how things go. My only suggestion would be that if you don't pre drill the side or roof panels, use a chalk line to keep your screws in line.
Looking forward to see pictures of your progress.

Definitely pre-drill panels!

Measure a "10 times" with a piece of metal in place sitting in the 1 1/2" offset. Write down measurement "10 times". Then drill your panels. Do not use chalk. They did on my back wall before I caught them. Two years later you can still see the red haze. That's on tan walls, the white roof would have been way worse.

My 2 cents . . .
