Condensation on insulation
Condensation pulling down insulation
I have installed R19 insulation vertically in my 14 ft high pole barn between my 2x6 purlins 2 years ago and it has now fallen down due to condensation. I used faced 23 in material. An insulation contractor looked at it and said it was because of the 1 and 1/2 inches of air between my backed insulation and my interior metal walls. He says they always put the insulation in horizontally..don’t see how this would help. Would hanging a vapor barrier behind the interior metal help?
