I paid a bit more for my ingersoll name badge. Had the PUMA been on the radar when I was intending to purchase mine I might have been inclined to buy it instead. I havent had any issues with the Ingersoll , but I immediately swapped the oil out for synthetic and followed what the manual said.
I ran 10GA wire on a double 20 breaker directly off the panel, only about 3 feet. I only used 10 because I had a ton of scrap lying around. I took that into a NEMA L4-30 plug and receptacle as I had a set that was given to me from an electrician friend. From there I used a length of SJO cable I found in a dumpster and wrapped it in Flexo PET sleeving, also scraps I had from a project. I wanted a sure thing disconnect for whatever reason might come up. I havent had any problems as of yet.
Id recommend getting some anti-vibratory pads such as these
http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-PACK-ANTI...883?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4ad1107a1b
and setting the compressor on there, bolting it to the ground. Without them on mine itd shake the entire house.
Id agree with the other comments and consider a sub panel disconnect option should you want to add a welder / stove etc. out there as well.
