Don't know why pliers is underlined and can't get it to delete.Sadly I got them on eBay since my area is deprived of any good tool places. I got these Klein's because they are identical to the nws pliers. They ran me about $40 for the quick adjusts, a little less for the classic.Tool Fanatik,
Where did you purchase the two Klein pliers?
Thanks,
Dave
Yea when we say slip joint in the northeast were normally talking about the two sizes pliers thing a majigs. But I guess technically water pump pliers would fall under that slip joint category...but if I was asked to grab a pair of slip joints, I wouldn't be reaching for pump pliers.I was taught they were called "water pump pliers" then later slip joint pliers.

I haven't experienced that. As far as quality goes I've been very happy with anything Klein. These Klein's btw are really NWS, made in Germany, and are pretty spiffy.Big time Klein fan here but imho their pliers ^^ ****. Most of my life was in the electrical trade and I'll be damned if the one and only holy grale of electrical trade tool manufacturing couldn't make them the right size to fit fittings. Channel lock always fit perfect no matter what series. Other then that, they are good quality.
