Pump up chair

Hi,

Anyone know where I can buy a desk type chair pump UP chair? There are plenty that go down with a lever but few that pump UP.
I'm located in Connecticut

Most go up by force of spring in the cylinder. With no weight that lever you use to let down will allow spring to push chair up??

Only pump up type I can think of is a barber type chair. I found one of those for free many moons ago and put a butcher block top on it to make an adjustable work table. Thing is a ***** to move but awesome when you need something at just the right height.

They generally go up with no with no weight on them.
Then you sit on them and "bounce" the lever to the wanted height.

My garage chair is pre gas lift and goes up when you spin it around, to go down spin it the other way, the kids love it!

The spin type seem to be regulate to "Piano Stools" over here.
I have tried to find that style, but they all date back to the 1950's.
No days we seem to need something more complicated.

Mine's probably late 70's/early 80's. I got it from work used back in about 1986 when I was a salesman for a company that refurbished office furniture. TBH I haven't seen any office chairs that pump up, the modern gas lifts all require you to lift your weight off them for them to rise. You'd likely to be looking at something like a barbers chair or dentists chair for something that pumps up, I would imagine those use hydraulics rather than gas or air over oil and so tend to be way heavier and have fixed bases.
