I just bought the craftsman one last week for 12 bucks in the store. I use it at work for holding letter stamps for marking parts I machine. So far it gets the job done. For the price its worth it over vise grips because its easier to hold.

A lot of people will use vise grips as Punch/chisel holder.

I have done this but don't like it. Sooner or later the Vise Grip jaws gouge up the shank of the punch or chisel, then I either slash my hand, or get steel slivers in it.

Anymore custom punch & chisel holders out there? Or recommendations? Thus far, I haven't found many options which are suitable to me.

I have the craftsman one. it tends to slide and loosen up a bit but its not bad for 12 bucks. not sure if they send that overseas yet but when i bought mine they still had plenty of USA made ones.
