Last Thursday, after a few weeks of contemplation, ("do I need it or not, do I need it or not??") I opted to purchase some Martin 3/8 drive, 6 point sockets. I was curious as to the quality of their products as I've never seen any up close, and had seen a pretty good deal on them on Amazon. So I ordered the B11K set, which has 1/4" through 7/8". The first thing that stood out to me was that the 1/4" looked different than the rest of them, taller and less chrome. But all and all, I feel I've made a good purchase and can't wait to try them out! :)

If I like them, I'll probably purchase a 3/8 drive, 6 point metric set to go with them.

Here's some pics.

The only martin tools I ever saw where their angle wrenches and they are top notch. I have thought about getting some service wrenches from them.

I've used their stuff at my old work, it generally is very utilitarian, but seems to be of good quality. You don't often see it out of industrial settings.

I've never seen Martin out side of an industrial setting. You're right, it's very spartan / utilitarian. Seems to be great stuff otherwise.

I keep seeing a full set of fractional combo wrenches (9 or 11 pc) in a nice wrench roll/pouch at a pawn shop, been there for over a year at $50 (fifty). They look almost new...

Always thought of buying buying them as an extra set, but I've already got 2 combo sets. Sad to see them sit there for so long though...

Wish I knew someone who needs a set, that cares about US made tools. I'd buy them for them in a heartbeat.

BTW...those look like some nice sockets...
