Hi, everyone. I am thinking about purchasing an older two post lift. I’ll attach photos below. My concern is that I can not seem to find the mounting recommendations anywhere on the internet. My concern is the recommended concrete thickness. My concrete is 5” thick with wire mesh reinforcement. The lift is an older Gemini model GP09A. They offer newer lifts on their website that looks a little different than the one I want to purchase but has the same model number. Does anyone have any expierence with this lift? I noticed the arms are positioned on the posts at a weird angle. Is this better or worse than the traditional way? Any information about this lift is greatly appreciated.

Arms are "asymmetric" and that is better than the traditional way. More user friendly.
Decide what anchors you want to use and start looking for concrete requirements for the anchors. that's what is important.

Obviously cant use a bolt that goes all the way thru the cement. You need anchors similar to a Hilti, with a hardened bolt.

Your concrete is deep enough, but what is the psi? Hopefully 3000 or greater.
You could use anchor bolts / wedge anchors, up to 6 inches would work. You could also use epoxy and threaded rods.
Have you seen the lift raise a vehicle? It looks a little old, but that doesn't mean it couldn't work normally for years to come. I would definitely make sure it is currently working.
What is your concern with the arms? Two post lift arms swing in to get under the vehicle and then out so vehicles can get in and out. The photo appears to show one set of arms all the way out and one set mostly in.

I got it loaded in the truck. My concern with the arms was just the fact that I am not used to seeing the asymmetric type lift I suppose. I’ll keep you guys posted. I’ll get it set up tomorrow without bolting it down yet.

What is the load capacity for the lift?
Most 12' 2 post lifts require 4" of 3000 psi concrete.
I have a 9,000 lb symmetrical 2 post lift and these were the requirements (4" of 3000 psi concrete). I'd imagine the requirements for that lift would be in that same ballpark.
Might also be worth calling the company up with a model number and seeing if they have the info.
