Push connect wago type wire connector question

I've got a box of 4 port connectors.

Was wondering if it's OK to use with one port empty/unused?

Would save me from buying some 3 port connectors.

Yes. Very common to not use all the spaces.

My preference is for the lever-lock type. The friction-only ones had issues with wires popping out (2003-ish) unless they changed the design. We only used them on one jobsite before going back to twist-on types.
