I get random requests from the board to allow these. I always answer yes, and get an acknowledgement. But, it seems to forget. Doesn't do it everytime I log on, I don't think, but just sometimes. Like 2-3 times today. Not a biggie but curious.

Xenforo (the forum software) supports the ability to send a push notification to your computer or phone when a conversation has an update. If you notice the alert bell in the top right of the site, it will basically send a notification for these events while you're not on the site. You'll get this either thru a pop-up in Windows or a message in the notifications section of your phone.

But, I understood the ask was for current and future use. It appears that it will ask every stinkin' time. Not cool. I've even chosen the option to never receive push notifications. Still asked every time.

There’s a problem with your browser cookie settings then. If you aren’t using an ad blocker and you allow cookies from the site, you will only be asked once. I’m literally regulated on this stuff.

I get it though… that would be annoying…

@Ryan, were there any forim notification related changes recently? I had been randomly losing notifications on watched threads and now that is happening far less often, which is great.

None. I haven’t changed the software base or even the version in over a year.

Do you guys have cookies on? Or an ad blocker of any kind will do the same…

It's the ad blocker for me. The browser I use does this automagically, so I just live with the question. I get asked about once a week.
