Putting a 10" blade on an 8" saw?

Ok, let me get it out of the way: I know this is dumb on several levels.
The blade guard won't fit with a 10" blade on the arbor.
The saw is designed with a certain number of surface feet per minute, a certain amount of radial load and probably other parameters in mind and I'll be screwing with that pretty hard stepping up to a 10" blade on it.
What I want to do (anyway) is put the 10" table saw blade on my 8" radial saw, make four (very careful) cuts through some 4x4 , and put the Dado set on it for the rest of the project.
So... am I right in thinking this is a "don't make it a habit" sort of thing, or is this more of a "Never, not even once" situation?

RAS's are already widow makers, I cannot imagine this helping. Sounds pretty sketchy to me, I wouldn't do it if you want your digits to stay connected to your body .

I would recommend finding the correct tool or cut the 4x4 in 2 passes by flipping it. Not exactly sure what you are trying to do, but there are likely much safer ways to do it.

Yep. I got as far as putting the blade on the saw and looked at it just one time... Hell No.
