I'm adding a hand washing sink in my detached garage. California so no freezing. I'm going to tap into the PVC riser outside the garage, is it fine to run PVC inside the garage to supply the sink? Going to have an electric undersink water heater for the hot supply.

just run pex, stay far away from cpvc it get brittle from age

My house was built in '72 with PVC and CPVC. There have been no problems with brittle pipes in all that time.

Pex is easier, but if you don't want to buy or rent tools for it, PVC/CPVC is cheap and easy. You can do the whole install with a hacksaw & utility knife.

have some of the cpvc here in my house and were getting rid of it as fast as we can,

its very brittle and where ever it was transition from copper pipe it leaks also does not take the freeze at all
