pwz vs adjustable wrench

I need an adjustable wrench for work but I am curious if I should just get a snapon pwz rather than an adjustable. Just looking for opinions.....

I believe the snap-on pwz is just their version of a swedish pattern pipe wrench too, so you might be able to find cheaper alternatives if you want to try that.

The pwz is made by bacho for snap on so you can get the same wrench much cheaper from them.

What are you wanting to use it on? They've got a lot of bite force so those teeth will clamp and mar. Pliers stench from knipex and bahco adjustable pliers would be a killer combo though

I have the PWZ1. It is really well made, but it is made in Argentina...

I want the PWZ3, but I will buy the Knipex equivalent.

The Knipex ones are on Amazon. I bought the PWZ1 off the truck.

It's for moving large fasteners at work. We usually use a pipe wrench or large adjustable but I thought the pliers wrench may be superior

Hhhmm. Since I mainly work on stainless, these knipex sets look nice. It's actually cheaper to get the snapon ones on sale here in Canada......

FYI, this is actually not true. They are not cheap no matter where you buy them.

Sometimes they show up on ebay, but only for maybe $15 off retail. Bahco and snap-on 17 inch models are otherwise the same price (even sourced from europe).

Edit: If you actually need the tool, buy it from snap on. Knipex is a bit cheaper, but arguably less developed take on the same design. You'd have to import it to get any real savings tho.

Edit 2: USA Industrial brand warranty ***** and you will lose the $15 shipping the tool in for service if it ever needs it anyway. Snap on tends to cover alot more issues as warranty repairs from what it seems reading most threads.

If sizes are above 1 inch or 25mm I would look into very large adjustable wrench from irega
The pliers wrenches are nice but offer less torque you can applied

Look at seriously snap on adjustable wrenches they offer teeth that will grab better than flat standard but not for larger sizes
