I have a friend who is looking at this lift along with two others. Based on the numbers the manufacturer provides for calculating the minimum height of garage, he is either just under or just over. He wanted me to ask a couple questions for anyone that has the Advantage SS9000XLT 4 post lift
1 - He need just under 78" clearance on bottom. What is the minimum height to get around that number when the lift is sitting in the notches. For example, it might land exactly at 78" but unlikely so what is the closest measurement without going under 78
2 - let's say it will sit exactly at 78". How far does it need to travel above before the locking mechanism snaps in so it can be lowered onto the notches?
3 - lastly, how high does it need to raise in order to disengage lock in order to lower it. Only matters it if the amount is greater than the amount on Q2.
Really appreciate if anyone has the lift and can take a couple measurements so he can decide which one he needs to go with.
